In my Birthday post, I did not list the present from my OB/GYN which was a script for a baseline mammogram (I'll bet she knew nobody else would give me one of those). My sister (who reminded me that I should get a mammogram done this year) will be glad to hear that I went to have it done! While I won't bore you with specifics, my summary review is: Office process, painless; Procedure, OUCH. For next time, I'm contemplating a stiff drink beforehand with a ride to and from the offending appointment...

i wouldn't mind the squish pain if it can save a life but i just hope it won't squish my boobs away (i need all that i have!) glad you went so promptly :)
if you think the modern squish is "ouch," you should have had the fun of the old fashioned squish...now THAT was "ouch!" To all the ladies: discuss with your spoouses now, and hope you never need to follow up on it. Decide what treatment you would endure if you faced breast cancer. I am attempting to play medical advocate to a neighbor who is trying to save her life while she fights her husband who wants to have her refuse a mastectomy (three breast-sparing surgeries couldn't get clear margins) and take, instead of "toxic chemo," an extract from the venus fly trap to DIGEST the cancer cells! If he doesn't love you imagining you w/out a breast or two, dump him now before you find out what else is wrong with him!
I need to remind my wife to get this done. And, more importantly, schedule a yearly, or 6 monthly reminder in her Outlook...
