...You Should See the Other Guy

This is what happens when you collide with your friend's forehead while playing tag at full-speed in gym, if he's about six inches shorter than you are.

Update 20.Jan 07: I asked at dinner if anyone had asked Lars who the president is but it's probably best they didn't, as he doesn't seem to know. He was, however, able to name all the Buffalo Sabres (occasionally with number and position), so we think he'll be fine. We are headed for the rinks now; the idea of not skating doesn't seem to have entered his reality. I hope his face will fit into his helmet!

Oh! Your poor little guy. I bet that hurt something fierce. Hope he's all better soon!

OUCH! He looks way too happy to have been wounded! I do remember the gym injuries; and the shop class injuries; and the back yard injuries; and the bedroom injuries... the circle has not broken! (I hope it doesn't look worse tomorrow!) Please give Lars kisses from Grandmoo for extra-fast healing!

He looks like he's just got back from training, and loving every minute of it...

He's braver than me, I'd be crying my eyes out!

@colleen: Thanks! He currently seems more bothered by the ice we keep holding to his face than by the monster bruise itself - I'm hoping it won't hurt more when he wakes up tomorrow.

@grandmoo: It will no doubt look worse tomorrow. It will probably be looking it's very, very worst next week sometime, when we take the kids for their annual doctor check-up!

@navilyn: There was a bunch of crying at the time of impact but Lars is a hockey player, so bruises are right up his alley. We're a bit worried that his face won't fit into his helmet for practice tomorrow...but we'll cross that bridge if we get to it (he'll be upset if he can't skate).

No no no. This is what happens when you thwart a plot by aliens to take over the world.

I love the sticker! I'd have it framed - or laminated and put on a string to wear every day! He inherits this from his Momo who frequently walks into furniture and bruises her face!

@Frauke: He stuck the sticker on his safe (piggybank) - he's very proud of it.
