Keeping A Promise to Myself

When I was young, I promised myself that I would have as much cake batter as I wanted before actually baking the cake. Lunch today? Sandwich with a cupcake sized portion of batter for dessert. It's good to be a grown-up sometimes!

(For those of you about to phone county health, I don't add the eggs until after I've had my unbaked share)

Ha ha. Good for you.

Allison likes to say that when she is grown she will finally be able to eat Peanut Butter out of a jar. I do it, and I agree it's a worthy aspiration.

Bully for you! The creamed butter-surar is the only part worth eating anyway! (I propose refrigerating it and eating it all with a spoon... if you refuse to share, then you can enter it into WME, too!)

make that "butter-sugar" (I was salivating so much my fingers slipped to the wrong key)

drinking melted butter, heavy cream out of the carton and not sharing a can of pringles! not to mention that all these can be enjoyed with alcohol!

won't the alcohol curdle the cream?

You know, you don't have to wait until you are inspired to bake to enjoy the wonders of cake batter...Coldstone Creamery, maker of all that is good and right in ice cream, makes Cake Batter ice cream! Coldstone is famous, of course, for its mix-ins. But, whenever I go there (which, since last July is about 2-3 times a week...), I always end up with a medium cup of Cake Batter ice cream, naked (the ice cream, that is...), so there is nothing to distract me from the wonderful flavor.
